Participants may pursue an optional 8-unit internship, arranged with their academic advisor, though this is not mandatory for graduation. The program also offers a partnership pathway with the School of Education and University Extension, allowing students to apply up to 9 units from approved Extension certificate courses in educational policy and leadership toward the 36-unit degree requirement. Admission requires prior completion of the approved Extension certificate program.
