The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences provides three undergraduate degree options: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) programs in Geology, Earth Sciences, and Geophysics. Students can also pursue Minors in Geology, Geophysics, or Global Climate Change. These Earth Science programs encompass scientific investigations of our planet, examining its composition, structure, geological processes, and evolutionary history. The curriculum explores life forms on Earth, societal impacts of natural disasters, and climate change across different time scales. Our B.S. degrees focus on equipping students for advanced academic pursuits and diverse professional opportunities. Alternatively, the B.A. program caters to aspiring secondary school educators, blending general science instruction with pedagogical training alongside foundational geology coursework.
