UC Riverside's biochemistry bachelor's program offers three specialization tracks tailored to students' career aspirations: biology, chemistry, and medical sciences. Students can earn either a B.A. or B.S. degree in this field. The program provides significant financial support, with 85% of undergraduates receiving financial assistance and 70% obtaining full tuition coverage through grants and scholarships. Numerous research opportunities are available on campus, covering diverse areas including molecular biology, physical biochemistry, endocrinology, plant biochemistry & molecular biology, cellular signaling, and biomedical studies. Collaborative research with faculty is encouraged, and the new School of Medicine creates expanded possibilities for hands-on laboratory experience during undergraduate studies. Graduates leave well-prepared for health professions, advanced scientific studies, or various science-related careers.
