The Geology program provides opportunities to explore geomorphology, micropaleontology, mineralogy, organic geochemistry, paleobiology, petrology, paleontology, remote sensing, sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and tectonophysics. Our faculty frequently engage in cross-disciplinary research. The following professors specialize in areas relevant to our graduate Geology curriculum.
A bachelor's degree in geology, biology, chemistry, physics, or other science is required.
Applicants must have outstanding records in the relevant basic sciences and mathematics.
Qualified students may proceed directly toward the Ph.D., although most obtain the M.S. degree in the process.
IELTS Academic overall band score should be at least 7.0 is the minimum required.
TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test.
