The Student Affairs Program Review serves as a developmental evaluation framework aimed at improving institutional effectiveness. These review protocols draw upon and support the distinctive vision, principles, and objectives of UCLA's Student Affairs division.

The Student Affairs Strategic Plan at UCLA outlines objectives for creating an assessment system that guarantees SA initiatives remain responsive to evolving student needs. To maintain adaptability and fulfill SA objectives, the division has implemented the Program Review framework. These evaluations primarily aim to sustain excellence in Student Affairs programs and services while ensuring alignment with the division's core purpose, key initiatives, and strategic objectives within the broader university context.
