This multidisciplinary division employs diverse research methods and terminologies to investigate educational systems.
SSCE provides two degree options: Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy. Students can specialize in either Comparative/International Education Studies or Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Education Studies within both degree tracks.
The SSCE Division focuses on analyzing education through social, cultural, historical, and global frameworks. Its multidisciplinary approach incorporates various analytical tools - including discourse analysis, philosophical inquiry, agency concepts, representation theories, structural examinations - alongside traditional educational research methodologies.
