Computer Science and CS&E Degree Programs
The Department provides Bachelor of Science degrees in both computer science (CS) and computer science and engineering (CS&E). While both programs offer a solid computer science foundation, the CS&E degree caters to students seeking additional emphasis on computer hardware systems. Both the CS and CS&E programs hold accreditation from ABET's Computing Accreditation Commission, with the CS&E program also accredited by ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants to the Ph.D. program who hold the MS degree should have completed the requirements for the M.S. degree with at least a 3.5 grade-point average and should also have demonstrated creative ability. The M.S. degree is normally not required for admission to the Ph.D. program. Over the last five years, 50% to 80% of those admitted to the Ph.D. program have earned only a bachelor's degree. Admitters who hold the bachelor's degree only typically have earned at least a 3.6 grade point average and have demonstrated a strong aptitude for graduate study and research in the GRE scores.
IELTS Academic overall band score should be at least 7.0 is the minimum required.
TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test.
