The Department provides Master of Science and Doctoral programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Since the majority of graduate-level courses aren't offered every term, students are strongly encouraged to commence their studies during the fall quarter.
Faculty in Electrical Engineering focus on these research domains: optical and solid-state technologies encompassing quantum electronics and photonics, integrated electro-optical systems, semiconductor device and material development, analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, microwave components and antennas, nanoscale imaging, along with systems engineering and signal processing covering communication theory, information processing, power electronics, neural computing, networking systems, control engineering, and systems analysis. Network communication subjects are additionally covered through the Networked Systems graduate degree programs.
