Theater and entertainment industries are experiencing rapid growth in sound design, and UCIrvine stands ready to train, mentor, and equip students for thriving post-graduation careers. Our curriculum focuses on achieving the perfect blend of theatrical artistry, audio engineering, musical knowledge, and professional development tailored to each individual. Through extensive instruction in cutting-edge sound technologies, UCIrvine's sound design graduates will be equipped for both traditional theater and the evolving digital landscape.

Rather than producing sound designers with uniform approaches, UCIrvine's program cultivates each student's unique talents while addressing areas for improvement. We foster a learning atmosphere that encourages personal artistic exploration and development. The diversity of perspectives among students and instructors proves invaluable, sustaining an ongoing culture of creative discovery and artistic advancement.
