The International Relations faculty in our department possess diverse expertise spanning various methodological approaches and subject areas. Their research focuses encompass global governance, international norms and institutions, security studies, migration patterns, environmental issues, and the intersection of religion with international affairs. Within the School of Social Sciences, two specialized centers support faculty and graduate students in International Relations. The multidisciplinary Center for Global Peace and Conflict Studies (CGPACS) enhances academic and public understanding of international cooperation and conflict resolution. Additionally, the Center for Research on International and Global Studies (RIGS) facilitates investigations into the complex relationships between political systems, economic forces, social structures, cultural dynamics, and historical contexts in global affairs, while organizing regular academic seminars.
