The Nursing Science Doctor of Philosophy program equips future nurse scientists with specialized skills in clinical-translational research methodologies, fostering academic excellence and expanding nursing knowledge.

Recognized as healthcare's most trusted professionals, nurses offer distinctive insights into research through their patient-centered care experience. They understand that achieving optimal health outcomes demands a holistic approach, considering the interconnected and often intimate dimensions of patients' lives. Our PhD curriculum therefore integrates translational science techniques with conventional research frameworks to holistically meet health needs across local, national, and international populations.

This PhD program offers personalized guidance, pairing students with research mentors from day one while providing immediate research involvement through Teaching or Research Assistant roles. Throughout their studies, candidates collaborate closely with their mentors to cultivate specialized knowledge and evolve as scholars. Instruction comes from nurse researchers at the forefront of their specialties. Beyond coursework, students enhance their learning through research seminars featuring prominent scientists from nursing and related fields, exposing them to groundbreaking, influential research.
