The Psychology and Cognitive Sciences Honors Program offers an enriched academic and research experience for top-performing undergraduates in these disciplines.
This initiative focuses on developing advanced scientific research skills, providing participants with opportunities to conduct independent studies while earning honors recognition at graduation. Though ideal for students considering graduate school or seeking rigorous research opportunities to complete their undergraduate journey, the program welcomes all eligible Psychology and Cognitive Sciences majors to apply.
With limited availability, the program specifically targets exceptional students aiming for advanced studies in cognitive or psychological sciences. Junior-level participants must secure a faculty mentor, define a research project, and complete their application during spring quarter before their senior year begins. Eligibility requirements include maintaining a 3.2 major GPA, submitting an analytical writing sample, and presenting a concise research proposal. Applicants must also include a recommendation letter from their faculty advisor, who will supervise the proposed research project.
