The Mathematics Department provides a Bachelor of Science degree program. This program features six distinct pathways: the standard track along with five focused specializations (Mathematical Biology, Financial Mathematics, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Mathematics Education with Secondary Teaching Certification). Additionally, students can pursue minors in General Mathematics or Biological Mathematics. The undergraduate mathematics curriculum encompasses various course types: foundational classes for advanced mathematical, scientific, and engineering studies; courses tailored for social and biological science majors; and classes designed for liberal arts students and future educators.
The Financial Mathematics specialization caters to mathematically inclined students seeking to apply their quantitative skills to master core principles of contemporary financial theory. This concentration equips graduates with multiple career pathways, including immediate entry into financial sectors, pursuit of an MBA degree, or advanced studies in either economics or mathematical disciplines.
