The Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) program allows students to focus on specific musical disciplines during their junior and senior years, including piano, vocal, or instrumental performance (covering instruments like flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and harp), jazz studies (piano, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, and percussion), as well as guitar and lute performance. Participants benefit from weekly one-on-one lessons and perform a public recital in their final year. The Music and Culture Honors Program offers an enhanced academic path for exceptional B.A. or B.Mus. students, pushing them beyond standard major requirements. This track deepens their understanding of music scholarship while refining writing, analysis, and research abilities. It's particularly valuable for those considering graduate studies in non-performance areas such as arts criticism, humanities, social sciences, or law.
