This program introduces students to English literature from around the world, including works from Britain, America, Africa, Asia, and Australasia. It highlights distinctions between historical eras and literary styles while promoting engagement with diverse critical approaches. Students can also pursue creative writing opportunities. The English Department offers both undergraduate and graduate studies in literature, featuring specialized programs in Writing, Literary Journalism, and Composition. Our faculty includes literary theorists, historians, rhetoric specialists, composition experts, journalists, novelists, and poets. Students examine multiple analytical frameworks, craft fiction and poetry, and create journalistic pieces. Throughout their studies, they critically examine writing—its evolution, societal roles, and contemporary relevance. This program equips graduates with essential skills for a world where linguistic analysis and compelling communication remain vital.
