The Chemical Engineering Program provides doctoral (Ph.D.) and master's (M.S.) degree options. Students gain comprehensive foundational knowledge while examining vital applications across diverse process systems. Research concentrations span biochemistry, biomaterials, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, catalysis, surface and colloid science, electrochemical systems, fluid dynamics, sustainable engineering, interfacial phenomena, computational modeling, nanoscience, polymer science, reaction kinetics, clean energy solutions, thermal chemistry, thin film technology, and transport mechanisms. Key research initiatives tackle pressing scientific issues in energy, environmental sustainability, healthcare, biotechnology, information systems, and nanotechnology.
Consideration for program admission requires a bachelor’s degree, three letters of recommendation, official transcripts, iBT TOEFL score of at least 100 or IELTS score of at least 7.0 (if applicable) and an Office of Graduate Studies online application with fee by the stated admission deadline.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
