The UC Davis Master of Advanced Study in Maternal and Child Nutrition Program, delivered through the UC Davis Department of Nutrition and UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, equips professionals with scientific expertise to develop, execute, and assess nutrition initiatives for diverse maternal and child populations.
Over the past ten years, growing public health challenges—including low birth weights, diabetes, childhood obesity, and rising demand for lactation support—have heightened the need for specialized nutrition professionals. Both governmental and private health organizations have prioritized enhancing maternal and child nutrition. This UC Davis program prepares graduates with rigorous scientific training to address these critical health issues through culturally responsive nutrition interventions.
