Studying agricultural and environmental education equips you to guide and instruct others. This major offers a grounding in both agricultural/environmental sciences and educational methods, while building teaching, communication, and outreach abilities. The curriculum covers diverse fields like animal science, environmental studies, plant/soil science, agricultural engineering, business management, agroecology, and horticulture, alongside human development social sciences. Hands-on learning occurs through fieldwork, school placements, and other practical settings aligned with student interests. This program enables students to address agricultural and environmental topics within educational frameworks.
Graduates in Agricultural and Environmental Education (AEE) become equipped to teach sustainable practices or workplace skills. The AEE program exposes students to varied agricultural and environmental subjects while developing their grasp of fundamental and complex ideas across natural and social sciences. With its emphasis on practical application and experiential learning, this major effectively prepares students for careers bridging social and natural sciences in agricultural and environmental fields.
Freshman applicant will be completing or have completed secondary school and have not enrolled at any college or university.
English language proficiency
Score 6.5 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination: Internet-based test (iBT): Minimum score of 80 or better
iBT Home Edition: Minimum score of 80 or better
Paper-delivered test: Minimum score of 60 or better
