The Goldman School of Public Policy (GSPP) and the Energy and Resources Group (ERG) provide an exceptional and unique concurrent MPP-ERG (MA or MS) degree program that combines public policy analysis with interdisciplinary energy and resource expertise. This fusion of ERG and Public Policy fields creates an ideal training ground for future leaders tackling global energy and environmental challenges. The curriculum emphasizes analytical, quantitative, methodological, theoretical, and hands-on approaches to energy, environmental science, and policy issues. Students must fulfill both degree requirements within three years by completing core courses from both departments (GSPP and ERG). The program structure ensures a thorough grounding in the disciplinary methods used for energy/resource studies and policy analysis. Through specialized course clusters and the Advanced Policy Analysis Project (Capstone requirement), students can expand their analytical skills and explore specific areas of interest in greater depth.
