Both tracks are administered by the Haas School of Business and feature identical coursework. MFE students develop expertise in blending financial theory with advanced mathematics, data science, machine learning, and programming to enhance decision-making processes. Alumni pursue diverse career paths including portfolio management, trading, quantitative analysis, financial technology development, and strategic modeling.

MFE graduates secure roles across multiple financial sectors such as hedge funds, fintech companies, banking institutions, insurance providers, corporate finance departments, and investment firms. The program offers focused training in specialized areas like financial modeling, derivative pricing, investment strategy, risk assessment, securities analysis, and portfolio optimization.
