The UC Berkeley Master of Development Practice (MDP) is a cross-disciplinary professional program that equips future leaders to address pressing local, national, and worldwide issues in the years ahead. Alumni pursue impactful careers across non-profits, corporations, and public sector institutions. The program draws motivated, innovative students globally, offering a demanding course of study that combines scientific fundamentals, problem-solving techniques, management strategies, analytical frameworks, and holistic approaches. The minimum graduate admission requirements are: bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution; satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale; and enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field.
TOEFL at least 90 for the Internet-based test (IBT), and 570 for the paper-based format (PBT); Overall Band score must be at least 7 on a 9-point scale for IELTS
