The Chemistry PhD program cultivates students' capacity for innovative scientific investigation. At its core, each candidate's personal research project forms the most crucial component of their academic journey. To promote independent scholarly exploration, formal coursework is intentionally limited and tailored by advisors to align with each student's research specialization.

The doctoral program offers these focused concentrations, each with distinct degree requirements:

Physical Chemistry: This concentration spans experimental and theoretical approaches across physical, analytical, nuclear, and biophysical chemistry.
Synthetic Chemistry: Focused on organic and inorganic synthesis, this program emphasizes novel compound creation, methodological development, and material characterization.
Chemical Biology: Bridging chemistry and life sciences, this concentration explores bioactive material synthesis and biological system analysis.
