The Latin major offers comprehensive instruction in Latin from beginner to advanced levels, allowing students to engage directly with classical works like Virgil's Aeneid, Tacitus' Annals, and Apuleius' Golden Ass. Latin majors complement these primary texts with courses in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies (AGRS), examining diverse facets of Roman civilization while reading numerous ancient works in translation.
