As connections between nations, communities, and cultures grow more frequent, the reactions to these exchanges also expand. The Global Studies program enables students to examine these relationships and their consequences. Incorporating both past and present perspectives, the curriculum equips learners with the analytical skills necessary to comprehend their contemporary environment and trace its historical development. Those pursuing a bachelor's degree in global studies will critically analyze how worldwide transformations have occurred (and may continue to evolve) throughout their era. The program encourages students to concentrate on personally meaningful topics while developing adaptable thinking skills. It provides comprehensive instruction on applying learned concepts to drive meaningful progress regarding pressing international concerns that impact local and global communities alike.

The Global Studies curriculum mandates that students select both a specialization area and a geographic focus for in-depth study, linking regional expertise with language acquisition. Participants choose among three concentration tracks: (1) Global Development, (2) Global Peace and Conflict, or (3) Global Societies and Cultures. This structure enables focused examination of particular global dimensions. Simultaneously, majors select one of five regions (Asia, Africa, Europe/Russia, The Americas, or the Middle East) for specialized content and linguistic study. This approach cultivates regional expertise while addressing broader questions stemming from international engagement. The program also emphasizes systematic problem-solving methodologies, teaching students to investigate issues with thorough, disciplined approaches. Through collaboration with faculty and academic advisors, participants design customized study plans that align with their academic aspirations and career objectives.
