The Geophysics program equips students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and hands-on field and lab experience in analyzing Earth's and planetary structures and geodynamic processes. Tailored for those strong in physics and mathematics, it offers a robust foundation in physical sciences and math, focusing particularly on Earth's physics.
Geophysics explores Earth's internal structure and dynamics by applying physics and mathematical methods. By measuring physical properties like density, magnetization, and electrical conductivity, scientists can deduce information about Earth's composition. This interdisciplinary field bridges Physics, Mathematics, and Geology.
