Generally, successful applicants have a strong background in either a geographic, cultural region and/or a particular topical or theoretical interest in anthropology. This essay should make such backgrounds and interests very clear. Also, please convey your intellectual trajectory, and explain why you seek training in anthropology and why you seek it at University at Buffalo, stating clearly the plan of study you propose to undertake.
Recommendation Letters
Provide the contact information for three (3) confidential letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your academic work.
