A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) offers a more hands-on, studio-centered approach than a Bachelor of Arts (BA), prioritizing artistic specializations while including tailored liberal arts components. BFA specializations span General Studio, Art & Technology, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Print Media, and Sculpture. Alumni frequently continue their education at prestigious institutions and develop thriving professional paths as accomplished artists, designers, creative directors, researchers, academics, and instructors within their disciplines.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
