In truth, you've been learning about communication since birth. Each message you compose, every facial expression you observe, all the podcasts and news broadcasts you listen to - these are all forms of communication. At UB, you'll explore how people connect through various communication channels, ways to enhance your communication effectiveness, techniques for evaluating communication strategies, and more - all grounded in scientific methodology. UB's program emphasizes building robust communication abilities while teaching public speaking and advanced writing. Students enroll in foundational courses covering research techniques, statistical analysis, and emerging technologies. The curriculum also examines both theoretical and practical aspects of organizational communication, digital innovations, and mass media.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
