The Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program combines associate-level dental hygiene coursework with bachelor's degree classes, or allows students to advance their education after earning an associate degree from an accredited dental hygiene school. Fones School students and graduates from other accredited programs can pursue this degree completion pathway at the University of Bridgeport. Students can earn their BS in Dental Hygiene in just two more years by transferring 60 to 90 credits. This bachelor's program merges professional dental hygiene training with liberal arts studies, broadening hygienists' career prospects, competencies, foundational knowledge, and professional ethics.
After successfully completing the required semester hours in designated study areas, students become eligible for the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree.
