There's growing need for business experts who prioritize human values and for well-rounded citizens capable of engaging in governance and global affairs. Employers seek flexible, innovative professionals with cultural awareness, social insight, and language skills to navigate intricate international challenges.
The Professional M.A. in Russian program consists of at least 33 credit units. In rare cases (such as when a student wishes to explore a topic not covered in standard courses), up to three Independent Study credits (RSSS 599) may apply toward the degree, subject to faculty availability and DGS approval. Typically completed in four semesters, students in the Collaborative Governance track usually follow the recommended course sequence. However, if certain classes aren't available or if alternative courses better align with academic or career goals, approved substitutions are possible. Always coordinate with both the DGS and Faculty Mentor during registration to maintain steady degree progress. Note: All Professional M.A. students enrolled in Russian-taught English courses must complete readings and assignments in Russian whenever feasible.
