The Professional M.A. in Russian program consists of at least 33 units. In rare cases (such as when standard courses don't cover a student's specialized interest), up to three Independent Study credits (RSSS 599) may apply, subject to faculty availability and DGS approval. Typically completed in four semesters, Business Management Emphasis students usually follow the prescribed curriculum, though alternative courses may be approved if unavailable or better suited to academic/professional goals. Always consult with both the DGS and Faculty Mentor during registration to maintain proper degree progress. All Professional M.A. students enrolled in Russian-taught English courses must complete readings and assignments in Russian whenever feasible.
