Our Master of Science in Information program is exclusively offered on the main campus, featuring a diverse interdisciplinary curriculum, community engagement initiatives, and a strong focus on information interaction. We prepare students to become skilled information professionals capable of addressing practical information challenges and collaborating across various fields. You'll acquire both interpersonal and technical competencies, graduating with practical experience that integrates behavioral, psychological, cultural, and philosophical approaches.
Beginning Spring 2023, applicants can choose between the general M.S. in Information Science or select from two specialized tracks: Machine Learning or Human-Centered Computing.
Machine learning focuses on handling and analyzing vast datasets by automating model creation processes. This specialization equips graduates to become forward-thinking leaders who grasp the intricacies of machine learning as a distinct data science discipline. Available on campus and online for international students via our partnership with Great Learning. The Human-Centered Computing curriculum covers areas such as simulations, virtual environments, human-computer interfaces, UX design, and personal data management.
