Our Master of Science in Information program is exclusively offered on the main campus, featuring a diverse interdisciplinary curriculum, chances for community involvement, and a strong focus on information engagement. We strive to shape you into an information expert capable of addressing practical information challenges and collaborating across various fields. You'll cultivate both interpersonal and technical abilities while gaining practical experience that integrates behavioral, psychological, cultural, and philosophical viewpoints.
Beginning Spring 2023, applicants can choose between the general M.S. in Information Science or opt for one of two specialized tracks: Machine Learning or Human-Centered Computing.
Machine learning focuses on handling and analyzing vast datasets by automating model creation. This specialization equips graduates to become pioneering scientific professionals in multiple industries, with deep comprehension of machine learning as a distinct data science discipline. Available on campus and online for international students via our collaboration with Great Learning. The Human-Centered Computing curriculum covers areas such as simulations, virtual reality, human-computer interfaces, UX design, and personal data management.
