At the University of Arizona's Physiological Sciences Program, graduate students collaborate directly with faculty researchers tackling conditions like diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, cancer, and respiratory ailments. Faculty employ cutting-edge research methods spanning from molecular investigations to human clinical trials.
Graduates with a Physiology PhD pursue careers in academic institutions, corporate sectors, and public agencies. Our distinguished faculty, honored for their mentorship and professional development guidance, work with a multicultural and academically varied student population. The program provides both PhD and research-focused Master's degrees, including financially supported teaching positions. With more than 60 faculty members from 19 departments across six University of Arizona colleges, students gain opportunities to collaborate with clinical researchers in the College of Medicine.
