The Department of Education Policy Studies and Practice (EPSP) provides a Graduate Certificate in Education Policy Studies and Practice. This program forms part of EPSP's graduate education and research efforts, developed in collaboration with Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) and Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD).
EPSP integrates K-12 and higher education perspectives to establish a comprehensive P-20 approach, aligning with current educational discussions and policymaking practices.
This nine-credit graduate certificate builds upon existing course offerings, complementing master's and doctoral programs as well as Arizona State's professional certification options within EPSP. The curriculum prepares graduate and post-doctoral students for policy analysis, academic research, leadership training, and practical application across educational settings from early childhood through university (P-20). Furthermore, participants gain expertise in educational research methodologies, policy analysis, performance-based funding systems, strategic administration, and academic writing for reports and publications.

The receipt of a U.S. Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited university/college or a final degree awarded from a comparable institute of higher education as evaluated under the University of Arizona Graduate College policies.
A minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale (to be awarded the program certificate, students must achieve at least a 3.0 graduate GPA).
