There's been renewed attention on Maternal and Child Health from healthcare professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders lately. Public Health operates on the principle that preventing illness is the most effective way to manage expenses, expand healthcare availability, and enhance community wellbeing. This perspective is driving growing demand for specialized education to achieve these objectives. Those who earn this certificate will gain enhanced capabilities to positively impact the health outcomes of vulnerable women and children.
Available at the Main Campus, the Maternal and Child Health graduate certificate program offers flexible completion timelines ranging from one to four years. Closely connected to the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, certificate graduates who subsequently enroll in the MPH can apply all earned credits toward their degree, provided they select either the Maternal and Child Health or Health Behavior Health Promotion specialization tracks.
