The field of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) draws from multiple disciplines including psychology, physiology, physics, music, linguistics, and education. This program combines these varied influences through faculty research, academic instruction, and clinical practice. As an SLHS major, students can explore subjects related to speech-language pathology, audiology, and typical speech, hearing, and language functions. The curriculum promotes analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities while strengthening students' capacity to assess scientific data. Hands-on learning opportunities include involvement in research laboratories and clinical observations at campus facilities. This undergraduate program serves as a strong base for diverse professional trajectories in communication sciences, healthcare, and teaching. Graduates are also equipped to continue their education through advanced programs like a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology Doctorate, or Ph.D. studies.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA and entry requirements vary from country to country. International applicants whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, must prove English proficiency. English proficiency may be proven by one or more of the following:
