Transform your fascination with marine ecosystems into scientific knowledge that contributes to safeguarding aquatic biodiversity. The Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources specializing in Fisheries Conservation and Management explores aquatic ecosystem dynamics, covering species biology, ecological interactions, and their physical environments. Fisheries biologists create conservation plans to protect biodiversity, assist endangered species recovery, regulate harvested populations, enforce regulations, conduct population monitoring, operate hatcheries and refuges, design research studies, control invasive species, create predictive models, and provide public education. The curriculum combines core biological and physical sciences with hands-on field experiences. Graduates pursue careers as fisheries biologists with government agencies and conservation groups.
