Contemporary fashion movements arise simultaneously and organically worldwide, driven by technological advancements. The Fashion Industry's Science and Technology program represents the intersection of style and international commerce. This curriculum incorporates foundational classes in strategic planning while integrating scientific and technological applications in both design and business - including artistic innovation, sustainability studies, analytical reasoning, data interpretation, and financial administration.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Graduates will demonstrate decision-making skills specific to the fashion sector by leveraging technology, analytics, business frameworks, and scholarly product knowledge. Examine purchasing behaviors across both mature and developing fashion markets
Students will distinguish between sustainable and unsustainable manufacturing practices within global operations, considering sales metrics, trade regulations, import/export statistics, and socio-cultural influences
Participants will cultivate fashion expertise and commercial insight by rigorously assessing data collection methods, descriptive approaches, creating 3D prototypes and product mockups that balance sound business choices with innovative design components
Learners will substantiate groundbreaking business strategies through effective written, oral, and visual presentations using appropriate industry vocabulary
Students will exhibit proficiency in guiding products from conceptualization to retail, managing fashion collections, building brand identity, and generating consumer interest through relevant fashion media channels
Participants will develop social, economic, and environmental policies informed by personal experiences, historical contexts, and cultural phenomena
Students must have high school equivalent to USA and entry requirements vary from country to country.
International applicants whose primary language is not English, or who attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, must prove English proficiency. English proficiency may be proven by one or more of the following:
TOEFL iBT - 70
IELTS - 6.0
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - 53
IB (English A – Higher Level) - 5 or higher
Cambridge English Scale (C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency) - 169
Cambridge GCSE, O Level or higher (English) - C or higher
