The ECE Department provides comprehensive accredited degree programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering up to the Ph.D. level, along with a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity and interdisciplinary Master's programs in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity. These curricula aim to go beyond teaching students to use existing technologies - they foster deep technical understanding, enabling graduates to innovate and adapt throughout their careers in our rapidly evolving tech world. The Program of Study outlines specific requirements, mandating a minimum of 48 graduate credit hours (not counting dissertation research). Up to 6 credits from master's-level thesis/research work may apply toward this 48-hour requirement. Additionally, students must complete at least 18 credit hours of dissertation research, registering for these credits each semester they receive faculty guidance. Students should finalize their Program of Study approval within their first year of Ph.D. enrollment after passing preliminary exams. Subsequent modifications require Supervisory Committee approval through formal petition.
