The Psychology BS program at UAH cultivates scientific approaches to understanding psychological principles. This research-focused curriculum emphasizes practical learning experiences, offering internships, collaborative faculty research in laboratories, and partnerships with industry and government organizations to equip students for post-graduation success.
UAH psychology students pursue either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, which combines core education courses, specialized psychology studies, and a complementary minor outside the psychology field.
Our curriculum fosters analytical thinking in psychology. Students begin with a foundational two-course introduction (PY 101 and 102) covering psychology's diverse subfields. Beyond required coursework, learners can personalize their education by choosing electives that align with their interests, guided by faculty mentors. The program offers flexibility to explore both social science and natural science perspectives within psychology.
