The School Counseling (SC) program typically spans eight to nine semesters, or approximately three years including summer sessions, encompassing coursework, supervised practical training, and counseling internships. This specialization equips graduates to become Certified School Counselors, enabling them to support educational environments and assist students (along with their families) in addressing cognitive and emotional challenges that impact academic success. With a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, our curriculum encourages students to examine and reconsider personal biases regarding sexism, ageism, racism, and homophobia. By combining hands-on experience with theoretical knowledge, our graduates emerge ready to actively support and strengthen their school communities.
