The immune system serves as the body's protective shield against illnesses, and we require skilled researchers like yourself to understand how to strengthen it. Through this program, you'll explore how expertise in allergies, autoimmune disorders, cancer immunology, and neuroimmunology can open doors to various professional opportunities.
To equip you with the essential knowledge for success, we've assembled approximately 90 immunologists with wide-ranging research specialties. Initially, you'll complete laboratory rotations to pinpoint your research focus. Following this, you'll undertake foundational and specialized module courses. Subsequently, we provide access to targeted courses like Lymphocyte Biology and Mucosal Immunology. Before graduation, you'll participate in journal clubs, grant-writing workshops, and additional resources to give you a competitive edge in research careers. Our program also offers travel grants for research and training, along with educational funding through our long-standing national training grant.
