Population health is a multidisciplinary area that combines clinical medicine and public health approaches to prevent, control, and treat illnesses in human populations. It focuses especially on understanding the social factors influencing health and examining why these determinants vary across different groups. With evolving healthcare landscapes shaped by demographic changes and policy updates, there's growing interest in pursuing graduate studies in Population Health. Students completing the MS program gain skills to serve varied communities and learn analytical techniques to improve healthcare systems.
We provide both campus-based and distance learning alternatives. Our on-campus program draws a select group of students seeking an immersive one-year curriculum to prepare for advanced studies like medical degrees or doctoral programs. The online format enables working professionals nationwide to earn their degree while maintaining full-time employment. Both delivery methods educate aspiring and practicing healthcare providers in data analysis, research techniques, and scientifically validated methods to reduce health inequities. As a cross-disciplinary domain, our program offers value to current and future healthcare practitioners, administrators, and those engaged in health outcomes studies, research-based care models, and healthcare system transformation.
