The Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MS-MIS) program focuses on cultivating students' leadership capabilities in information technology. Those enrolled in the MS-MIS leverage their undergraduate background in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar disciplines to concentrate on advanced coursework in solution implementation, cybersecurity, and IT strategy. Additionally, participants enhance their problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills through hands-on projects and a research thesis addressing current industry challenges.
This 30-credit on-campus program is available in both standard and accelerated formats through the Accelerated Master's Program (AMP).
Note that the MS-MIS does not hold STEM designation for Optional Practical Training (OPT) eligibility. Consequently, graduates are limited to a 12-month OPT period under F-1 visa regulations.
