The Apparel Design program focuses on tackling the complex aspects of universal design, inclusive practices, sustainability, and fostering robust design thinking abilities.
Students explore core design fundamentals like color theory while gaining hands-on experience applying these concepts. Our curriculum strongly prioritizes building design thinking capabilities. By engaging in diverse projects and coursework, students develop a creative, solution-oriented approach to design problems. They're taught to innovate, assess user requirements, and weigh the ecological and societal consequences of their creations. This design thinking methodology enhances their capacity to produce not just visually appealing fashion pieces but also meaningful solutions to contemporary challenges, staying true to sustainable and inclusive design values.
