This program equips students with skills to develop, evaluate, and solve mathematical models across diverse application fields. It fosters collaborative, cross-disciplinary research while meeting state and regional demands for professionals with interdisciplinary expertise. Graduates gain qualifications for careers in government, industry, finance, K-12 education, higher education instruction, or further doctoral studies.
Upon acceptance, each candidate's proficiency in fundamental undergraduate mathematics and their engineering/physics coursework (at junior-level or above) will be assessed. Required courses may be added to address any identified gaps in foundational knowledge.
