The Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Track emphasizes mechanical principles and fundamental chemistry, specializing in:
interactions between materials and biological structures, drug-delivery mechanisms, and tissue engineering frameworks. The degree curriculum equips you to pursue the combined M.D./Ph.D. in Engineering offered jointly by the College of Engineering and Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Acquire valuable hands-on professional experience via the optional cooperative education program. Through co-op, you will alternate between work semesters and academic terms after your second year. Additionally, you will receive a competitive salary.
