Biomedical engineers perform studies and investigate the engineering facets of biological systems to develop innovative devices and methods that enhance health and life quality. The Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Track emphasizes mechanical principles and fundamental chemistry, specializing in:
interactions between materials and biological structures, drug-delivery mechanisms, and tissue engineering frameworks. The degree curriculum equips you to pursue the combined M.D./Ph.D. in Engineering offered jointly by the College of Engineering and Northeast Ohio Medical University.
