The Jefferson College of Population Health (JCPH) provides a Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This curriculum equips students with expertise across essential public health domains including social and behavioral health sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy, program development, and assessment. The program emphasizes leadership development, systemic approaches, effective health communication, international health perspectives, and cultural awareness.
The Advanced Standing option aims to expand the pool of highly skilled public health practitioners dedicated to enhancing wellbeing, ensuring quality care, and tackling health disparities across various sectors including healthcare, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and research institutions.
This accelerated pathway builds upon the College's mission to empower healthcare professionals with enhanced skills for improving community health outcomes. Designed for individuals holding terminal degrees (such as MD, DO, PhD, JD, or other doctoral qualifications), the program offers specialized training in public health leadership, epidemiological methods, statistical analysis, healthcare systems, quality improvement, and health policy. MPH graduates often secure leadership roles in healthcare organizations, public health agencies, NGOs, and international health initiatives, where they drive research, influence policy decisions, and champion health advocacy initiatives.
