The Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (M.S.I.E.), Master of Science in Systems and Engineering Management (M.S.SYEM), and Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering (M.S.Mfg.E.) programs, along with the Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in Systems and Engineering Management degrees, equip students to become skilled industrial engineers and engineering managers for careers in industry, consulting, academia, and research. Under faculty guidance, students create customized study plans. At the master's level, two pathways exist: (1) a 30-credit thesis track with 6 thesis research credits, and (2) a 30-credit non-thesis alternative. Students may incorporate a minor field and up to six credits from outside industrial engineering. The Ph.D. curriculum mandates at least 60 post-baccalaureate credits, with a maximum of 15 credits allocated to IE 7000 (Research).
